June 17: Summer Conditioning Begins (must bring all eligible paperwork, or have on file) Paperwork was handed out at Interest Meeting. A packet can also be obtained from the Main or Athletics offices.

July 29: Official Practice Begins. *Mandatory, Pre-Season meeting for athletes and parents to be held, this week. More details forthcoming.*

Summer Conditioning

Weekly schedule will remain the same, unless otherwise noted. There will be advanced notice of cancellation. If weather is a threat, you will be notified 20-30 mins, prior. (rain is not typically a factor for cancellation. Lightning is.)

Athletes are expected to run 5-6 days/week. It is preferred that you join the team practice. If you are unable, please follow the plan and run on your own. Unless ill or injured any running is always better than simply skipping a day.

Clear extra workouts with your coach. The goal is to help you become the best athlete/runner you can be. If you are operating out of the regular coaching schedule, this may become detrimental to you.

Please bring a watch (gps not necessary), water, towel or mat, and positive attitude to every practice.

Summer workouts will generally last about an hour. If any are expected to be much shorter or longer, notice will be given in advance.

All athletes should only plan to attend either the morning OR evening sessions, unless otherwise advised. The practice schedule will change when the 2019-20 school year begins.

Summer Schedule

*all morning sessions begin at 7 am. Evenings are 6:30pm

Mondays: Debary Hall (not the mansion. Picnic area)

Tuesdays:  Lake Beresford Park (DeLand)

Wednesdays: Dewey O Boster Park (Deltona. First parking lot near entrance)

Thursdays: Bennett Park (Orange City. Please park near upper baseball fields)

Fridays: Lyonia Preserve (Deltona Library. Near the trail)

Weekends will usually be on your own, with an occasional group run.
