This month gets busy!
As we transition back into the school year, please read and plan for the following Cross Country happenings. Most questions should be answered by checking the other posts, on the Cross Country page or the handbook. Please feel free to reach out if you aren’t finding necessary answers.
*As I start adding athletes to the official roster , paperwork will be closely scrutinized by the Athletic Director. Athletes will not be able to attend practice nor compete until all paperwork is current and turned in. New this season : this includes the commitment/contact sheet included in the handbook.
*Please take care of pay-to-play.
*I’m looking for 1-2 adults to take on the role of Team Parent(s) for this season. This would include updating our FB page and helping organize transportation and special events. If you’re interested, please let me know.
*August 12th: After-school practices begin. Athletes should be dressed, hydrated and in the baseball dugout by 3:45 pm. (2:45 on Wednesdays).
*August 15th: Ice Cream Run. Season shirts should be ready and available for purchase, as well.
*August 17th: Pre-season 5k @UHS.
*August 19th: Second uniform order due. If you missed the first deadline, please contact me.
*August 20th: Morning practices begin. They will be every Tuesday and Thursday, through the season, unless otherwise notified. Athletes can use this as a replacement for an afternoon practice. Others will occasionally be instructed to attend both morning AND afternoon, if their schedules allow.
We will meet at Mill Lake Park (207 E Blue Springs Ave. Behind the Splash Pad @ Veteran Park) at 6:30 am and be finished by 7:30 am. These runs will begin and end promptly, to allow students plenty of time to be ready for school.
*August 24th: First Meet!!
*August 30th: Team Yearbook photo session. 4pm, in the gym.
Thank you for your participation, hard work and patience through Summer Conditioning. This 2019 Season will run (haha) so smoothly if we all work together to stay informed and involved. Go Titans!
